Richard E. Tefft

Richard E. Tefft, 74, of Seekonk, died December 6, 2025 at South County Hospital.  He was the loving husband of Janice E. (Miller) Tefft.  Born in Hartford, CT, he was a son of the late George H. Tefft and Joan C. (Ellis) Tefft.

Mr. Tefft owned and operated his bicycle shop and repair business until his retirement.  He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1975 and was a member of the Seekonk American Legion Post 311. 

In addition to his wife, he leaves his loving daughter, Kristin A. Handy of Newark, VT.  He was the father of the late Dale L. Soderlund.  Cherished grandfather of two granddaughters, one grandson, and three great-granddaughters.  He was the brother of Holly T. Sepowski of Chester, CT, Carl E. Tefft of Middletown, CT, and the late Georgianna W. Kobylanski. 

His funeral and burial will be private.  Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
